'07 NJ OL Anthony Davis (Rutgers signee)

If this is true, it's like salt is being thrown on the wound from a disappointing day for our recruiting. However, I'll believe that he's going to Rutgers when I see it tomorrow on TV. Two unnamed people aren't exactly as credible a source as is one's coach, as in the case of Martin.

I hate to tell you this, but the Davis to Rutgers info broke three weeks ago. So, don't expect to see an OSU hat on his head tomorrow....

Good luck to Anthony at his home-state school.

This apparently opens up another O-line spot for next year, which isn't a terrible thing.

Its always a shame for something like this to happen. There is nothing wrong with staying home and attending the in-state school, but Anthony has repeatedly told the staff he wanted to be a Buckeye. Even O'Dowd's brother knew he was a silent commit, which made OSU stop recruiting some other good offensive linemen.

Im not wishing him good or bad luck, but its a shame to see someone screw the staff over. I understand it was probably a gut wrenching decision, but if you are not sure then dont tell a school's staff so that it changes who they are recruiting.

The next person to pull up a past post and act tough about it gets banned... We all know that predictions were wrong, no one needs to keep pointing it out... We on the BPRT are just as shocked at the recent turn of events as all of you...

Bottomline is this: Davis did commit to tOSU. That is why tOSU stopped O-Line recruiting. Davis and Malcolm Jenkins did talk about his verbal. Davis gave everyone every indication that he would be going to tOSU, right up until he stepped off the plane in S.A... Maybe there is something in the water they serve down there, because we have had awful luck with guys we were leading for or that were committed before they got down there...
