'07 MI CB Ronald Johnson (Southern Cal signee)

Whenever there is late-second drama you can probably assume he'll choose USC.

I was thinking Michigan State or Ohio State, but UM isn't dead in a ditch yet, it ain't over. Florida is still very much in it. Think any of the four could be it.

Honestly would be surprised if it was USC. His mother completely blew Carroll off on the USC visit and went on a shopping spree and Ronald didn't really connect with any of the other recruits. Could it happen? Yeah, but I don't think USC is really that in this.

I hope the kid is listening to the right people, and not someone like Jim Brown who could ruin him for life.

I think Jim got a bad rap on the #13 thing. Brown's mistake was speaking publicly based solely on what Clarett was saying. Once he got to know him and the situation more he changed his tune. At the end 13 didn't listen to what he told he told him either.

Doesn't sound like Rojo situation is like 13's. It seems people have Rojo best intentions at heart (even thought they differ on what that is) where Clarett's people only had their interest at heart.

I HIGHLY doubt that is true. Annese has sent players to MSU and is sending some to MSU in this class and in 2008.

I do know this though, that Ronald didn't want anything to do with Johnelle. Johnelle was seen as a joke by most high school coaches. IF MSU lands Johnson it's because of Dantonio. Had Johnelle still been in the picture Ronald would've never even visited MSU let alone potentially wind up there.
The point of the "hiding the letters" that is being put on the coaches is that they wanted HIM to go to Michigan because they favor Michigan. Not that it's true or false, but the reasoning behind it is that RoJo is a stud and they want their studs to go to Michigan.

Sending other players to MSU means nothing because they aren't as good as RoJo is supposed to be.

Again, his coaches didn't hide anything or try and steer him. Annese isn't like that for one, and quite frankly they didn't need to hide anything or steer him anywhere. Johnson was sold on Michigan from early on.

Let's all agree that this is a strange story and move on guys... We may never know what actually happened...
It will be interesting to see where RoJo decides to play though... There seems to be someone out there that is hearing whispers for every team involved...

UF's been confident on a lot of things lately due to their recent run... But they may be working with outdated info on this one... Like I said though, anywhere you go there is someone that is hearing whispers in favor of one of his final 5...

you couldn't be more correct 22. I'd be surprised if Rojo doesn't play in the big ten next season.

Think about which program on his list that didn't start recruiting him until he showed interest in them. Carr, Carroll, and Tressel have been on him forever. Dantonio got in on him the second he was hired.

I hate these dadgum guessing games... but alright, here goes my shot. Are we talking about Urban Cryer? You seemed to eliminate everyone else at the end there...

I'd really appreciate it if somebody could just say what they mean in this thread!

Ok well look at it like this.

Think about how Tressel recruits, Carr recruits, Carroll recruits, Dantonio recruits, and Meyer recruits.

I know that 3 of those guys are pretty solid guys and are above board. I think you know which three I'm talking about.

That leaves two out of the picture. Now one of those coaches has visited Ronald, called him, and been on him from almost the beginning. One hasn't. One got in on Ronald after Ronald had his coach make contact.
