Florida is expected to go over 25 this year, so they probably still have 4-5 scholarships to give. They have two WRs committed, but Haden could end up almost anywhere. Miami may have 5 WRs committed according to Scout, but that doesn't mean they are all going to end up there. I'm sure Randy Shannon's staff has gone out of their way to make that clear to Deonte if he has raised that concern. Adderley could be a future TE and McKinley could end up as a DB.

I think Miami and Florida are both at the top, but he also came back raving about USC after his visit there. FWIW, the majority of the Rivals experts think he is bound for Coral Gables.

I hear that he is a first or second cousin of Santonio Holmes, not saying that will mean much, but I also hear from people close to Albert Dukes (I go to OSU and know some fball players) that he and Holmes are pushing Thompson with Ginn's absence. Something to keep an eye on.

Shannon is loading up the first weekend in February with high profile visits. Belle Glade Glades Central wide receiver Deonte Thompson and Hoover (Ala.) defensive tackle Kerry Murphy are set for a visit. If Shannon can convince Thompson to join two other high school teammates in this class, and steal Murphy away from Nick Saban then the class will be a solid start for Shannon.
