'07 FL S Major Wright (Florida signee)

St. Thomas Aquinas safety Major Wright, who lists UM in his top six, said the same Monday. Wright said he had yet to see video of the brawl, but that he knows many will view it as a negative for Miami.

''I know it's going to hurt the coaches and players,'' Wright said. ``But something like that can happen anywhere when both teams are [anticipating] the same game and all that intensity is going on.

``It doesn't make me look at Miami any differently. Miami is Miami.''

[FONT=Verdana,Arial, Helvetica] Hollywood ? Good players make big plays at the right moment.

Senior Major Wright blocked a 38-yard field-goal attempt early in the third quarter Friday to swing momentum in favor of St. Thomas Aquinas in its 48-10 victory against host McArthur, and the victory clinched the District 16-5A title.

I've now watched the film available on the 12 kids Scout has ranked ahead of him (with the exception of Chad Jones from Southern Lab) and the only one I could see justifying being ranked ahead of Major are Clifford, Stefan Francois and maybe Marshall Jones. Half the guys listed ahead of Major on Scout's list will likely end up at another position (Sukay [WR], Torrence [WR], Barnes [WR], Finch [LB], Box [LB]).
