I would have to agree with this statement. I lost my mother last month and I have seriously been thinking about getting a group of guys together and beating up some students on the OSU campus.:tic:
Clearly, the members on this board have to counsel you against adopting DickRod as your new mother figure.
Exactly what I thought. I believe the phrase is, you can take the man out of the hood, but not the hood out of the man.
On the other hand, can I convince you to go up in front of live cameras and say this phrase directly to Ted Ginn Sr.'s face?
IMHO, The issue is kids like this can either find role models (Ted Ginn Sr., Jim Tressel) or enablers (DickRod). In the first case, they've got a chance, should they take advantage of it (just like everyone else in the world). In the second case, they've just got the DickRod.
When Neon Deion Prime Time Sanders is the most responsible role model in your life, that's a telling sign. When that's the best you've got and you still blow him off, that's a sign of immaturity (not uncommon given Devine's age).
Devine's got to find someone who will help him, not just take advantage of him. Not sure if the current WVU coaching staff will be part of the solution, or part of the problem. I guess we'll see.
