Kris O' Dowd should be at TOSU. And here is why...
I have compiled statements from Kris (and his brother) about what Kris' needs and desires are. Here they are:
From Big Bro:
"As for recruiting, Kristofer will be sitting down with his family over Summer to weigh his options and discuss the pros and cons of Ohio State, USC (and perhaps one other school), taking into consideration education, depth charts, family considerations, and, most importantly, comfort level with the Coaches and program."

"I'm definitely considering <ST1:p<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Ohio State</ST1:p. They offered me last June. I love <ST1:pColumbus</ST1:p. It's such a great little college town. They like to run the ball and that's what I'm used to. Plus, being in the Big Ten is just a whole different experience."

"Kristofer will redshirt ... the big picture is redshirt, play three years as an undergrad (graduate in four years), then get admitted to the dental program and play final season."

"Anyway, <ST1:pOhio State</ST1:p is being presented (by me) to Kristofer and our father (undergrad, grad school, football program, and depth chart) later this month along with USC and UCLA."

Ohio
State</ST1:p
"The environment is awesome. They get 100,000 fans at their place. They get 60,000 for a spring game. How can you beat that?"
With it being obvious that USC, UCLA and tOSU are the 3 main candidates (as stated by Big Bro), then let's rate all the categories Kris wants one at a time. Ratings are a 1 for great, 0 for not as good.
Undergrad (needed Pre-med):
tOSU 1 USC 1 UCLA 1
Grad school (needed excellent dental school):
tOSU 1 (rated #7 in USA) UCLA 1 (rated #6) USC 0 (not rated)
Football Program
tOSU 1 USC 1 UCLA 0 (got to admit it)
Comfort level with program
tOSU 1 USC 1 UCLA 1 (I guess)
Depth chart
tOSU 1 (big-time need)
USC 1 (But, they just got a commit from 5 star tackle MArtin Coleman and now 4-star guard JAmes Wilson)
UCLA 0 (they have have 11 linemen who are either FR or SOPH)
Comfort level with coaches (I'll just give them all 1):
tOSU 1 USC 1 UCLA 1
Family considerations:
Only YOU can answer this one Big Bro...
But as far as I can see, the totals come to:
tOSU 6 USC 5 UCLA 4
So the question ISN'T why should Kris attend tOSU, the question is: Why would he go anywhere else when his best fit is here with the Buckeyes?
If you ask me, this is the place for him.
And one last thing to add. I'm sure Kris himself does not look at these IM boards. I am sure he has better things to do with his time/life being a student and HS athlete. However, we are on page TWENTY-TWO of Kris O'Dowd interest on here and I think the Scout O' Dowd thread is like 9 pages. In the meantime, I search and search and search for any threadas on Kris on USC or the BRO site and can never find anything. Fact is, WE WANT HIM HERE.
He has shown us that he is a serious student first, and a football player second. We Ohioans love that. He has been my #1 prospect from the beginning, and I think he will open gaping holes for Chris Wells to just run the ball down people's throats. That would be something to see.
I know he has listed USC as a slight edge over us right now, but it just doesn't make sense to me. To USC, he will just be another 5-star athlete Petey has signed. With us, he will be seeing little Buckeye boys wearing "O'Dowd jerseys" walking down the street. In Ohio, football is like a religion. In LA, they watch the Lakers and Kobe.
It just is not the same. I hope Kris comes early to either the Penn State (or especially) the Michigan game, and sees tOSU at its most frenetic. It is like nowhere else in college football.
