It seems like the news surrounding Kris has died down of late. I would certainly hope that he is still hearing from us though. In this case I imagine that no news isn't a bad thing. Kris' recruiting is relatively straight forward with no real drama, which is nice, I just hope he ends up at OSU.
rumor has it that tOSU sent him a text message asking the level of his interest. if he hasnt answered then no news i s good news but apparently he has interest
Just a question... but why would staff have to ask O'Dowd about his interest level... hell, us fans on BP know Kris really likes OSU... I would think the staff has a better read on things, and would know by now where they stand with O'Dowd..

Great update for the bucks, Kris discusses his favorites, mentions tOSU has very a passionate fanbase, great facilities, and that the coaching staff gives off a "father figure"-like vibe. Also mentions that UA is the hometown school and a program that seems to be on the rise. UCLA and USC are barely mentioned in this update. He also states that he's going to be tight-lipped with recruiting now, and is planning to make a decision during the season after his official visits. Finally he mentions he wants to go to a school that builds your on-the-field-skills as well as your character, and that distance is not a factor because, "home will always be there."
That really doesn't mean a whole lot, but it sounds good when a recruit istalking about OSU more than other schools in updates.
The update was by Allen Wallace, a national recruiting editor from Scout.com...Which site provided the update? This can also be reflective of the number of questions asked about a particular school and the audience the author is targeting.
Regardless, it still sounds positive and he appears to be a great person.

Finally!!!!!! Professional football is officially here. Yes, I know it was just one preseason football game. Yes, I know all the starters were out by the start of the second quarter.
Yes, I know former Sun Devil turned Oakland Raider Andrew Walter looked really bad completing just 3 of 10 passes for 46 yards. But hey, at least we can watch games again.
And if any of you are talking to your computer screen right now (like I can actually hear you) saying, “What are you talking about Chris, we watched Canadian Football during the summer” you’re not real football fans and for your own safety should not read the rest of this blog. That’s right, I’m blog-banning you! advertisement
Now that we’ve gotten rid of the faux-football fans, let’s get down to business. The NFL is back, but we still have to wait until August 25th to see high schools greet on the gridiron. But college recruiting is the one football sport that lasts year round.
Last week, I told you about Agua Fria defensive end Everson Griffen. This week, we switch to offense and another recruiting war over Tucson Salpointe Catholic High School Offensive Lineman Kristofer O’Dowd. This Tyrannosaurus of the trenches is 6-5 and tips the scales at 315 pounds. What makes his size even more impressive is his speed. He has been clocked running the 40 yard dash in 4.95 seconds.
Still not impressed? OK.
O’Dowd can bench 420 pounds and squat 550 pounds. Want more?
The Salpointe senior was named 1st team All State by the Arizona Football Coaches Association last year, the only junior to make the first team. Plus, O’Dowd is rated as the 4th best offensive lineman in the country by rivals.com and is one of only 7 offensive linemen in the country to get a 5 star rating by scout.com. Impressive stuff, indeed!
College coaches love O’Dowd because of his combination of size, speed and athleticism. He also has amazing technique and is expected to have a very easy transition to college ball. As a result O’Dowd already has offers to play at Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Boston College, Cal, Michigan State, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington.
O’Dowd said he wants to narrow that list down to a final six. He has already picked his four top schools, USC, Ohio State, UCLA and his hometown school of Arizona.
Two more spots remain and I know ASU wants to be one of them. Part of O’Dowd’s decision could come to how well ASU and Arizona perform on the field this season.
As for O’Dowd, we know how well he should play.
