Doesn't Jason Whitlock sometimes work for ESPN at times? I could've sworn I saw him on Cold Pizza/1st and 10 on multiple occasions.

Not that I don't like the story, I just found it ironic.
I always thought that too... maybe they don't use him anymore, so it's a bit sour grapes. But he is spot on w/ Fowler

One thing that he needs to keep in mind is that we're dealing with big businesses, and none of those (including FOX, the one for which he's working) keep anyone's interests at heart except for the company's. He shouldn't be surprised, and he probably shouldn't be working for FOX if he thinks that way.

Very good article though.

Pretty good article.

I don't agree with everything. I think he's stretching it a bit in regards to Davis' skill (second coming of Brett Favre?). Also, leading Oklahoma to 11-1, in my opinion, is tougher than leader Ball St. to 12-0. I think his bias for Ball St. is there, even as much as he tries to say it's not throughout the article...not that there's anything wrong with that. It's his school and this year has been their "moment."

I'm a little shocked at his comments towards Fowler. I also thought he was pretty knowledgeable and kept the other guys (read: Corso) in check. But, I guess I could see it, now that he mentions it.

Overall, he nails ESPN's M.O. perfectly.

Whitlock is looking dumber and dumber as more and more NFL teams come out agreeing with ESPN when it comes to evaluating Nate Davis. Not that Davis isn't a solid player, but NFL teams don't appear to have him close to being one of the top QBs in this draft eligible class. Unless Whitlock meant Davis was the best college player but not necessarily the best pro prospect.
