Aaron and his dad had a great time at the camp. Just a word here about how and who the coaches should pursue. There was such talent there at the camp today you can't help but be super hyped at the future of OSU football. If you are in the "cross-hairs" so to speak, of the Buckeye staff you know where you stand. There is no lack of attention to those players that tOSU staff is interested in. Unfortunately, with all that talent, alot of players are going to get picked up by the competition. There are simply not enough 'ships to get them all.
Aaron did not participate in any of the drills, but make no mistake about it, aesthetically, no other lineman in camp is as physically imposing as Aaron. At just under 6'8'', and 292 lbs solid,(he measured and weighed himself at the "Woody") he was literally head and shoulders above the other campers. Even Robert Rose, who looks every bit like a modern gladiator, could hide behind Aaron. It was jokenly mentioned to coach Heacock that he could get a thousand yards just running behind Aaron. Of course, everyone wanted to know what his intentions are but Aaron just smiles and plays it close to the vest. It is not lost on Aaron the tremendous class that Tressel and company are assembling and his potential future in it. He also knows that with the current Buckeyes in place, tOSU has a solid foundation to build on. After speaking personally with coach Tressel, AD Gene Smith, Butch Reynolds and the legions of other coaches one thing is for sure, no matter what other school(s) Aaron may consider, it doesn't get any better than tOSU. Different, but not better. After the camp, Aaron is just going to work at a youth football and basketball camp at get ready for two-a-days in August. I'm not a psychic, but after observing him and speaking with him yesterday, if he ends up anywhere else other than Columbus, I'd be shocked.
