Story Created: Dec 7, 2010 at 8:13 PM CST IOWA CITY, Iowa ? Iowa wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos is being held in Johnson County Jail and is expected to make an initial appearance in the morning, according to a Johnson County Jail officials.
Johnson-Koulianos was arrested by Iowa City Police and faces multiple counts of possession of controlled substances, keeping a drug house and two counts of unlawful possession of a prescription drugs.
He?s being held in Johnson County Jail on $8,000 bail.
?I am highly disappointed to learn of the charges," said Iowa Football Coach Kirk Ferentz in a statement regarding the charges. "Derrell has been suspended from all team activities.?
Johnson-Koulianos, Iowa?s career leader in receptions and receiving yardage, was a first-team all-Big Ten pick this season. He caught 46 passes for 745 yards and 10 TDs this season.
