NOTE -- Pitt announced that freshman defensive end McKenzie Mathews has quit the team and will transfer to another school.

McKenzie will be playing this season for Division II Bentley.

When you are 6-foot-2, weigh 245 pounds and are good enough as a true freshman to play nine games at defensive end for Pitt, which Mathews did in 2006, that can be a hard concept for others to grasp. Mathews doesn't care. That's why you'll find him suiting up for Division II Bentley this fall, getting ready for Saint Anselm and Millersville instead of West Virginia and Syracuse..........continued

Someone needs to explain to this kid that a Bentley is what you get AFTER you make it to the league. Good luck to him either way.
