'06 NY DE McKenzie Mathews (Pitt signee, transfer to Div-II Bentley College)

I don't know that we need too, unless Worthington is really moving to offense. I know there has been a lot of debate about this but I still think that Rose (and Larimore, too) is probably a tackles and Mathews, Dublin and Wesley are DEs. Considering we brought in 3 DEs last year, if Worthington stays on defense, we may only need 1 out of Dublin, Mathews and Wesley to go along with (hopefully) Rose and Larimore on the inside.

Maybe they are looking at a guy like Larimore (big speed) as a potential OT down the road? Then they might have room for Mathews and Dublin/Wesley...

That's true. Could be first to commit with Dublin, Wesley, and Mathews. If Larimore were to go up north though, I think they'd still take Dublin, as he can play DT. That or they'd go hard after Johnnie Troutman. Either way I think we'd be set.
I really like Mathews after watching his video again. I think he'd be a great get if we can reel him in.:osu:

You can never have enough d-lineman and Wesley could possibly move to TE and Rose could move inside.

McKenzie talks about his favorites. Says that he hasn't narrowed it down yet, despite rumors. He still plans on visiting scUM for "The Game".

It really sounds to me like the boys at The Wolverine read yesterday's article and panicked. So who knows if McKenzie was placating them or not. Time will tell.

That article is so horribly slanted. I think Mathews will be on board with OSU not long after the season is over. The kid was singing Carmen, Ohio after his visit for the Michigan State game...a game where the team also happened to set a new school record with 12 sacks. Plus the kid is well aware of the success Will Smith had at OSU and the fact that Worthington came over from NY last year. I think he is ours to lose...too many positives to ignore.

survey says bullseye. this article is a complete 180 from the pitt update. of course then i noticed where it came from. this is the same person, if anyone recalls, that stated they thought hornsby was coming to ttun because he "had the look" in his eye when ttun beat psu.

Done forget the Nebraska site (of course they are so bad, they have to slant their articles to make people think they have a chance at getting any top players [except Marlon Lucky of course])...
