'06 MN DT Walker Ashley (Minny...no, maybe USC......no, PSU...no, Minnesota commit)

Comments like that don't make sense to me.....he wants to be a part of a top class or the Top class, that I understand. However, there is no guarantee that the Top class will be National Champions or even play for it...they aren't going to beat FSU and Miami in the same year!

He will visit tOSU on Dec. 3rd- he feels loyalty toward tOSU because they offered him first :)

Hopefully he can make it down for a game this fall. It's great that he's set up his visit with us first but he needs the full experience of catching a game in the Shoe.

The first weekend in December has traditionally been the Buckeyes big recruiting weekend. Usually, around twenty players will visit at that time, with some of the big-time commitments trying to sway the blue chip undecideds. Although I would also like to see Walker catch a game at the 'Shoe, his December 3rd visit should be a positive experience.

Walker goes to my high School. I have seen almost all of his games over the last two years. I think that walker has ample speed to play at the college level once he beats the opposing offense player he gets to the QB or RB in a hurry. I also wish that he could come to a game at the Shoe but EP's schedule matches OSU exactly playing on Friday nights with tape review on Sat morning if they go all the way to the state championship game which I think they will this year. I think that USC is going to be tough to beat out for Walker if they aggressively go after him, which it appears they are doing. I have no inside info but being from MN I can tell you the appeal of going some place warm is immense. I don't think we have to worry any more about Minnesota then any other school since most of the states top players go somewhere else to play in college. I will try to keep you guys as updated as I can but it will harder this year since I will be a Freshman at the University of Minnesota Duluth but I try and see as many games as I can.

I seem to remember seeing a post by the USC guru on the free OSU Insiders board that he had seen Ashley at the USC camp and was not overly impressed. Does anyone else recall seeing this?
