It's interesting that he commented that PSU might not be the same fit for him as it was his dad. Maybe he sees the writing on wall regarding Joe Pa. I think Minnesota will be the main competition-they are the hometown school, and to see him mentioning them, knowing that they are not there w/ OSU,USC,LSU (they are with PSU now....) is a good sign for the Gophers

But he does say his favorites are Ohio State, Penn State, Minnesota, Miami, scUM and USC (he claims not to have a leader). He will narrow down to 5 before his season then take all his visits and make a decision.

According to the latest Rivals update Ashley will still visit Ohio State unofficially this summer. He mentioned that he knows 2 schools will definitely be in contention to land him until the end...Penn State and Minnesota.

Walker just camped at USC and liked it; he still lists OSU in his top six.

Man, he looks like a college football player right now. Great frame. Would be nice to land him. Not a need position, but further strengthens a very strong core.

Good Size but with 4.9 speed hes probably not even fast enough to play dt for us, he'll end up on the o-line-if he goes to THE Ohio State University

A 4.9, particularly at his size is pretty arbitrary. Not bad numbers at all and would probably fit in well with this group of DT's.

he was offered by USC at their camp- they told him he could play DE or DT- Petey Carroll was a coach for the Vikings when Walker's dad was there

OSU definitely seems to be an also ran here. Get him on campus though and anything can happen. Nader Abdellah comes to mind.

tOSU, PSU and USC will get 3 of his official visits
USC was his favorite Spring/Summer visit but tOSU was the first to offer (which seems to mean something to him) and he likes the tOSU coaches.
