'06 FL RB Kylan Robinson (Miami verbal)

Just watched his video and wow. He is big, shifty, and fast. Looked very impressive and is definetly a top 100 player. The only knock may be that on some plays it appeared he was brought down easily on the legs. Nothing the OSU weight program can't fix though. Would love to see Kylan as an addition to this class.

The training regiment at tOSU will definately help him out. It helps every recruit out. But to say he goes down easily on leg tackles, and then say tOSU could fix that easily with their weight training is hard to do. I remember going into the 2003 season with the notion that Lydell Ross was going to be much improved because he had bulked up, and we all know that story. I'm not saying this kid even has any problems with that sort of thing, but I am saying that tOSU's weight program will not cure running style problems. Those types of things often seem to be as much mental as anything else.

It's funny, I thought the same thing. Pepe Pearson had the same problem.

Robinson Down To Final Three

By Phil Kornblut
RB Kylan Robinson (6-1 215) of Tampa completed his official visit to USCarolina Monday and said he had a very good time in Columbia. "I think in I could in and contribut early," Robinson said. "And I really liked running backs coach Robert Gillespie." Jonathan Hannah served as his player host. Robinson said he has narrowed his decision to USC, Ohio State and Miami. He is no longer considering Florida. He will visit Miami this coming weekend.

Time to say good- bye?

I did not think that we had a great shot at getting him with C. Wells coming in this year, but it would make for a nice surprise. I do not see it as a big lose because of the depth of RBs in Ohio next year plus Stephens out of Tex. Hopefully we can get 2 RBs next year and use this ship on someone else. GO BUCKS!!!

with 16 committments on board right now, and a very real possibility of adding at the least Bowman, Small, Gant, Grant and Gibson, I don't think Robinson is much of a priority. That would already put us at 21 and I would take Troutman, Olson or Fields over Robinson to round out the class. I doubt the staff wants to go over 22 in this class.

Sounds like he has essentially eliminated us. Maybe he felt like he didn't "fit in" as well with Chris Wells already in the fold. So much for getting in early on a kid (I think we were by far the 1st to offer). Anyway, with our current depth at RB, and the potential of the '07 class, I'd rather see the ship go towards almost evey other position (CB,WR,DL,OL,LB). Good Luck to Kylan.

The only players on that list I would even consider taking over Robinson, would be Gibson and Small. It would be nice to not have to worry about RB recruiting next year, and Robinson must be pretty high on the list to even risk alienating the guys they were already recruiting for next year, jmo.

really? I have heard such great things about Olson and Fields and really liked their video. I guess I wouls prefer them over Robinson. Wouldn't you rather have a Morgan Williams or Bradley Stephens next year?

Lol. Now we know why the recruiting rankings are so different from site to site. I guess it is nice to know that we hve some GREAT options heading down the stretch.

EDIT: Geez how could we both look over Greg Mathews when doing these posts. He has got to be up there towards the top of our lists as well.

:oh::io:
