'05 OH Safety Adam Myers-White (Tennessee signee)

Some have compared his abilities as a safety to former UCLA and NFL standout Kenny Easley. "I haven't heard that one," Myers-White said. "It's God's blessing to me to have this ability. But, to me, I still think I have too much to work on with my game to be compared to anyone. I still have to prove a little bit more as a senior. I really don't try to prove a lot of things to other people except my coaches so I can get on the field.
You have to love Adam's attitude. He'd be a great addition to the Buckeyes.

IMO there is something to be concerned about here. There is some circumstantial evidence indicating that AMW is unsure about things and is no where near the "lock" (man do I hate that word) he was portrayed to be a few months ago.

The latest piece of circumstantial evidence was the recent Rivals piece on Denlinger. Todd was quoted saying that the coaches told him to spend time with AMW and Worthington at camp. The indication being that those two still needed to be sold.

I am still optimistic that AMW chooses the Bucks but IMO this story has many twists and turns left. Of course he could always change his mind and choose the Bucks tomorrow

That's recruiting folks!!

Often times, it seems when parent(s) push for one school, the player wants to go somewhere else - see Fred Davis, Richard Washington, Stanley McClover, Rhyan Anderson - whose parent(s) all wanted the Bucks. Needless to say, none of the above ended up in Columbus. Even Ted Ginn almost pulled the trigger for USC, which would have been against the very strong wishes of his parents, not to mentioned his "adpoted" brother, Jamario O'Neal.

AMW's step-father is pushing for OSU; AMW is looking around. Not a surprise. I still think that he ends up in S&G, but I agree with 86 that he is not a lock (the "locks" are usually committed by now).

Any news on this front? Early it looked very solid but then OSU seemed to hit a wall.

If he comes in next year the depth chart isn't *that* intimidating, and if he is open to considering a red shirt he could be in great shape.

All other things being equal I would like to think that OSU gets the edge by being close to home. TIA for any updates.

Salley, Everitt, Whitner, Mitchell, Patterson, Welch and possibly Guilford. Pretty imposing depth in my opinion. Yes, a redshirt year would help by ridding Salley and Everitt from the depth chart. The other four are pretty stiff competition, even for AMW. In the end though, I think the chance to play with the Underwood's will win out.

With quality Ohio kids like Lenix, Jones, Underwood and Davis just waiting for an offer we can afford to miss out on AMW. I wouldn't be suprised if we pass on him if he wants to drag it out.
