Like 27 just said, they bring the NY market. That's where the revenue comes from.
Totally agree, but I do think Rutgers has the biggest risk and reward of the candidates. If Schiano stuck around long term and they entered the Big 10, he'd have a chance of building a long term strong program...
Rutgers and Syracuse aren't academic lightweights, and I'd think along with Notre Dame they're the only three feasible candidates.
9. University of Chicago (they're in the "academic Big 10," if I recall correctly)
14. Northwestern University(IL)
20. University of Notre Dame(IN)

Great post, Messi18Man. Michigan definitely learned there lesson.
My favorite candidates that seem to be on the short list are Texas and Georgia. I'd especially like Texas after the excellent Rose Bowl we played against them, and to further boost the recruiting inroads we've been making there...
Carr got a 4.6/5.0 at coachratings.com for fulfilling promises made to recruits. Such claims are overstated by rival fanbases, which is natural. The Michigan fanbase does the same thing over the Clarett debacle, etc.
The only school for which all the bad rumors and stereotypes are true is...
For a free outlet that covers every team in college football, CFN does a very good job. I thought their UM article was solid too, and I only had minor disagreements.
Sunday Morning QB does a great job, too.
The purpose is not to increase capacity. If a press release includes that phrase, it's to distinguish from earlier proposals that would've decreased capacity.
The main purpose is to add luxury boxes and improve the facilities in general. The luxury boxes will greatly increase revenue and...
Totally agree with all of this. My only real point was that any school that gets an official has a chance. Kids may love the coaches, find the city to be a great fit, like the uniforms, etc. Never and definitely just aren't words that belong in recruiting.
Pryor a "done deal" to Michigan is unlikely, as Michigan offered a QB just yesterday (see GBW front page).
I'm curious to see if those of you completely ruling us out have any facts to support that, though.

Fred won the Overall MVP award at a regional All-American Combine, and likes U-M, MSU, and OSU.
I think that quote needs to be repeated. :wink2:
Michigan insiders are starting to rumble that McGuffie is a silent verbal. Take that however you like; I personally find the phrase "silent verbal" meaningless.
I would be stunned and dismayed if Michigan backed out of an offer to Koger based just on Moore's commitment. Don't forget that our (then) likely starting tight end for the next couple years, Carson Butler, was just kicked off the team. We're thin at TE and will likely take two.
Er, this was been known about for a long time, and isn't even the slightest bit disruptive. Mundy started the horror show that was 2004, prompting MGoBlog to coin the phrase, "Yards After Mundy."
Yeah, on second thought, this is probably a better approach for you. What I mentioned will let you play mkv files in Windows Media Player, but VLC is a lot easier to install and use.
At the moment it looks a lot more like you should be swapping Minor and Grady. Unless he stops fumbling, Grady is going to be the role player. It's correctable and entirely possible, but Grady isn't in the same class as Chris Wells right now. That's also why he may transfer, although that...
