If the Aaron Johnson situation has taught us anything, it is that kids and their families don't always tell the truth in the recruiting "game". From what I've heard, I don't believe that the staff would take a verbal from Lazear.
Justin was indeed lined up as a starting OLB in St. Edward's 3-4 defense this past Saturday in the Mentor scrimmage. Looked like he was still getting his feet wet at a new position, but it was hard not to be impressed with him. With guys like Nate Oliver and Diauntae Morrow out there, Staples...
Justin should end up being bigger than Gibson. He's already about the same size and he's got 2 years of HS left. Was a varsity reserve last year at DE. Impressive athlete who will also play LB this year. Didn't play any WR for the varsity, but I know he practiced at WR some and looked...

The buzz on this massive Painesville Harvey OL is heating up. Missed all of last season with a broken foot. Not only could he be the best OL in Ohio...

I don't have Rivals premium, so I haven't watched it, but he was pretty impressive in person last season.
I don't think Hubbard has grown an inch since entering HS three years ago. He was 6'3 then, he might be a tad over 6'3 now. He doesn't look like he has another growth spurt in him.
My guess is he ends up playing DI college baseball. Tremendous all-around athelete however. Played mostly D last year b/c that's where the team needed him, but I saw him dominate at WR on the JV level.
I saw Goins for the first time last night as Rhodes played St. Edward. St. Edward cruised to a 65-37 win. Led 23-4 after 1 period. Goins could not have been less impressive. I think he had about 8 points. Didn't rebound or play defense. Didn't shoot the ball or handle it much. He looks...
Roe is developing his game from the Inside/out, which in my opinion is the proper way to do it for a big kid. I think Yancey Gates could profit from this approach.
Roe will not be a SF in college, he is a PF all the way. He'll rebound, play defense, block shots, score around the rim and hit...
I understand the situation very clearly and I know he is not getting an offer. Nor am I lobbying for an offer in any way. All I'm saying is that he is a special talent, period. Oliver, Hubbard, Morrow.... all fantastic players, Edmonds is the best player on the team.
Maurice Clarett and Chris Wells are two other kids who had a history of nagging injuries in high school, both significantly larger kids. Both carried the ball fewer times. Wells played against far lesser competition.
Let's be clear here however, Edmonds ran for almost 2,300 hundred yards in...
Edmonds is St. Ed's MVP. Not Oliver, not Hubbard, not Morrow. If Edmonds didn't get hurt against Glenville, I think St. Edward wins the state title. I generally don't "hype" St. Ed's kids, but Edmonds is one of the most gifted runners I've ever seen. Kid can change directions on a dime and...
