Hey, given the 'sold-out' status of most if not all home games, being an Ohio recruit makes it a privilege to attend a game. From many of the cities in Ohio, it's a fair-to-middling drive to C'bus. Not entirely sure how it works, if unofficial visit, but finding a hotel room in Franklin County...
Living on the Left Coast, heck yes! Watch the Buckeyes win, and still have the afternoon for yard work. Do see it as a way to control the imbibement of spirts and things prior to the games. Haven't attended a tailgate in some time, but washing down ribs/dogs/what have you with an adult...
Must be from Harvard, because I can argue both sides equally well. Do agree you take the best QB you can get, but also agree that maybe not taking a 5* every year, because there will be transfers, and usually (?) by the one you want to keep. Anyway, not my monkey, not my zoo. Seems every...
Thanks RB, exactly what was asking. Great way to see multiple weight class guys under fire, other than each other. Just another factoid to consider, other than the ubiquitous wrestle-off, to determine who goes on the mat. Even for someone who is a wrestling junkie, that sounds like a long...
Wow! Don't recollect this many commits for BB in a dog's age. Looks like he's recruiting some pretty large strike zones, and some pitchers that might have alot of leverage coming down off the mound. Not certain what the Buckeyes have coming back, but hope enough that these new guys can fit in...
Anyone have a thought on whether either CJ or Sonny might 'spy' on the QB or #44? The QB run or #44 on any play might hold the key to a W or L tomorrow. Haven't really seen it this year (or last as a matter of fact) from a Knowles led D. Just as the PSU D will try to corral Trey and/or Q...
Based on Script's analysis, why bother playing the game? Semi-seriously. Caleb said it well - just gotta win the one-on-ones. Hopefully Day, Chip and Knowles can light the fire under the Buckeyes. Heart, guts, and stamina with a smidge of skill dolloped in. Looking forward to Day getting off...
Given all the criticism of our DL play, wonder if the lack of twists, stunts, etc has had a debilitating effect on the OL? If you cannot practice against it, how do you prepare for it? Anyway, most all of tOSU's OL comes from schools without much of a passing game, no? Or at least that seems...
Kyle, an old-time joke heard. "the only thing Penn St graduates are football players and hoes" he said. His friend replied, 'my wife graduated from Penn St'. At which point the guy asked "what position did she play"? And oldie to be certain, and I've substituted the discussed school here....
Well, The Ohio State certainly deserves coaches with many wins. The facilities, teaching abilities, recruiting abilities, and now NIL warchests, augur well. Let us not forget that the greatest program the Buckeyes own is Syncro Swimming, at least in terms of national titles. Yes, I do...
Would there be any Buckeye duplicates in a weight class? Asking if there might be an unofficial 'wrestle-off' between two like competitors? Or is it a one-per-school type of thing.
Certainly didn't live that life, thankfully, and am trying hard to make sure my daughter never has to feel it. Having said that, back in the day, our basketball team would travel around Columbus to hoop it up against other areas. To add to above, several places we got hammered by some of those...
A trio like that (including Carter Lowe) would be momentous. Hopefully it comes to fruition. Haven't heard much about DeBose as a flip, but unless he takes a visit to Buckeyeland, probably more of a possibility than a probability.
Thanks guys. Was member there for 15 odd years, and passed by it every time I teed it up. But, time and change surely showed that the memory has cobwebs in it. Anyway, tOSU was so very close last year. Had the Auburn player not hit the stands with his chip, we'd be hoisting the trophy...
Seems like we might have our heir apparent! Hopefully there's another four players that can ascend to this level. Very much liked seeing tOSU playing in the NCAA finals....new year, let's do it again! Want to see another number on the board on the entry to S&G course. The 1961 and 1976...
Well, shoot! Disappointing news, Brody, if true. Sorry, but my BS deflector ears are pretty well worn out, as who knows what's true and what's not, with more of an eye toward clicks than fact. Certainly not questioning you, but it's hard (for me at least), to know who or what to trust. Got...
Don't disagree with that sentiment, only to say that Harline has not even executed the OC role, let alone the HC role. If memory serves, LJ was the interim when UFM had to take a knee. If Hartline had done the OC role (he had the title, but play calling was....Day), he might be a more viable...
Am hoping that whomever was his host is saying, 'well, look at this position of need' or somesuch, without knocking current recruits. No recruit likes that. Projecting out, OL coaches salaries will get hiked up this off-season, as Day will be combing the ranks for someone to replace Frye. No...
