2027 CA QB Brady Edmunds is a Buckeye!!!

Love it! Get your ‘27 QB, and have him(if he has the personality for it) be the leader for the class, along with a local kid(to make visits to home game that much easier to host OOS recruits). It’s starting to look more and more like 2026 will have a more developmental in state QB, and that’s actually great in order to create some type of space between and Edmunds
Get him in and get that amazing '26 Oline haul from Ohio on board with him early. He basically becomes their QB

With a possible decision coming from five-star 2027 quarterback Brady Edmunds by the end of the year, Ohio State had to make a favorable impression on the talented signal-caller during his unofficial visit to Columbus last Saturday.
The Buckeyes met that standard and more in the team’s 35-7 win over the Hawkeyes.
“It was awesome,” Edmunds told Eleven Warriors. “It was everything I expected and more. The Skull Session was awesome, because I had never been to an Ohio State game before. Even just the culture and everything like that. I remember going to see Ohio State play Utah in the Rose Bowl three years ago, and that was really cool. Just being in the environment, seeing the culture and the fanbase and everything like that while I was there, it was awesome.”
OSU quarterback recruiting is a bit murky for the 2026 class, but not so much regarding the 2027 cycle. Edmunds has emerged as the Buckeyes’ clear target at the top of their board since June, with Ryan Day and Chip Kelly each setting aside a good chunk of time to meet with the 6-foot-5, 200-pound quarterback and his family during his most recent visit even though it was a game weekend.
“Quite a bit,” Edmunds said on how much he spoke with Kelly and Day on the visit. “I even sat in on the quarterback meeting. Individually with my parents, I probably spoke with coach Kelly and coach Day each for about 45 minutes. I already know what I’m getting with Ohio State, so it’s not like they were really recruiting me or anything like that. We were talking about football, talking about their season, my season, life and stuff like that. It was pretty straightforward, simple stuff.”

That's true but I was referring to no '26 QB to go with that Oline class so the next guy would be "their" guy. Sayin and TSC will be established by then and Sayin likely gone on.
Gotcha that makes sense. I'm not sure we won't take a QB in '26, but I wouldn't be against it depending on transfers. Our strategy is just get the top guy we can every cycle and figure it out later. Can't say I fault that strategy but I'll trust whatever Day and Chip want to do, but definitely want Brady in this class.

Must be from Harvard, because I can argue both sides equally well. Do agree you take the best QB you can get, but also agree that maybe not taking a 5* every year, because there will be transfers, and usually (?) by the one you want to keep. Anyway, not my monkey, not my zoo. Seems every contender for Natti this year has a QB from somewhere else. Also seem to see that QBs from top tier teams are switching, as well as QBs from 'other' schools wanting to cash in on NIL/championship rings, from the smaller schools (which can visualize as 'developmental' leagues for the big boys). Am watching Texas as the predictor, but maybe tOSU as well to see what happens to the QB rooms.

This is definitely my guy, tremendous talent and would be perfect in our system.
Great follow for TSC in my opinion as well. I think we pick up someone local for '26 if we can get Brady on board as a stop gap between the two and for depth.

Edit: RJ Day might just find himself a role
