I was taught to tackle with my head up to the front side of the ball carrier and to wrap. I personally was never taught to tackle with my head.
The two biggest things I see in this era are players tend to tackle higher and don't wrap up at all....the hit stick era.
There hasn't been a worse-tackling defense than the 2018 version. It's not close either.
Tackling as an art form has completely fallen off at all levels of football, it's not just a Day thing.
I had the wrong year in my head - I thought he was a RS Junior. Either way, I don't think the cupboard is as bare as people want to think it is....especially on the interior. Finding tackles is important but I believe the coaching staff has earned the opportunity for people to....ahem....trust...
No - first he has to be offered a spot, by no means a given.
Then he has to still be accepted by the school. I'm pretty sure the portal isn't even officially open either.
The ratbirds are the 3rd or 4th worst pass defense in the NFL this year....
So what does Booger Boy do? Develops a very vanilla gameplan that focuses on running the ball and quick passes instead of stretching the field. And it's not like the Ratbirds have Roquan Smith playing either
Again who said anything about not trying to score? You're inventing shit no one is saying
As for the rest of it, that's why you're on a message board and not in the booth.
I think so too. And I think you'll see Downs (primarily) playing a lot closer to the line this week with Ransom doing a lot of single high safety type stuff. Make them make you get out of it by passing well (which they can't do)...stuff like that.
Ehh...you guys are worrying too much about what TCUN is gonna do rather than what Ohio State will do to TCUN.
They have a defense that is decent but it's not on the level it was last year, especially in the secondary. Ohio State has the receivers to exploit that.
Don't to stupid stuff like...
