  1. 2012-13 Men's Basketball (B1G Tourney Champs, NCAA Elite Eight)

Could see a starting line up of... Craft Smith Jr. Thompson Thomas Williams Also look for Ross to play big time minutes as the scorer that Matta loves to bring off the bench as a spark. Would expect Ross to get 20-25 minutes/game in that role. This would be similar to the role Thomas played...
  2. Florida LB Alex Anzalone (official thread)

    This. And soon...
  3. Ohio Stadium aka THE Horseshoe (Official Thread)

Love seeing the score 22-10 haha
  4. John Calipari (official thread of impending probation)

It's not what you know...it's what you can prove...
  5. F Rodney Hood (transfer to Duke)

Can never have too many athletic 6'8'' scorers on a team. It would be a solid pickup. Also, not sure how much merit it would have but he and Ross both played on the same AAU team. Could help matters...
  6. PF Jared Sullinger (2x 1st Team ALL B1G & All American, Anyang KGC, S.Korea)

Yes. Lottery refers to any team that doesn't make the playoffs. 14 picks...

  8. Jeff Boals (HC Ohio Bobcats)

He is a candidate for Miami (OH), as is Dickerson...
  9. Tony Parker (Frayles de Guasave)

Not sure if it is true but I was told that Shabazz Muhammad is no longer considering UCLA. IF that's the case, and I stress IF, then UCLA can't look good for Parker...
  10. SF William Buford - 4 BTT Title Games, most Buckeye starts (Virtus Roma - Italy)

From the article above, this is the part that excited me the most... Smith said he’s confident that Buford will add to those achievements in the Big Easy, especially after watching him practice. “After practice today, I don’t think Will is struggling no more,” Smith said. “I don’t think he...
  11. Dave Dickerson (Assistant Coach)

I get your point but I was referring to the fact that with Buford gone, Sully almost certainly gone, and Thomas a possibility, we have three scholarships open. You can make the argument that Loving will be coming in the 2013 class but he will take Ravenal's spot. Also consider the likely...
  12. Dave Dickerson (Assistant Coach)

Last hurrah? Could explain the lapse in recruiting for 2012...
  13. Jeff Boals (HC Ohio Bobcats)

Thought they were grooming Jent for the job...
  14. Jeff Boals (HC Ohio Bobcats)

Agree. He has been very successful developing "Big Men". We should have high expectations for his replacement.
  15. 2012 Spring Practice (started Wed, March 28) and tidbits

Saw a tweet by Vrabel that he was excited about his first spring practice as a coach. Puts things into perspective that this time last year JT was still our coach...
  16. SF William Buford - 4 BTT Title Games, most Buckeye starts (Virtus Roma - Italy)

Bump for Buford. Really hoping he comes in focused and ready to play. Him hitting a few shots early on could be lethal.
  17. LB Joe Burger (Official Thread)

Infrequently. Preferred walk-on simply means he will not have to try out to make the roster in the fall whereas a normal walk-on would have to try out.
  18. PG Aaron Craft (B1G 6th MOY '11, Def POY '12, Acad AA, Dolomiti En. TR - Italy)

Let's just say that I doubt a guy who just made the Academic All America team will make the jump to the NBA without his degree in hand. He is a great player, no doubt, who will continue to get better but until he develops on the offensive side, I don't see him making the jump.
  19. John Groce (HC Akron Zips)

I understand the logic but their recruiting has been suspect because of the system they run. I have talked to numerous players (Mid-major level) who refused to go to Miami because their offense was so boring. Academically they are the best in the MAC and with the right coach they could be...
  20. '13 PA ATH Robert Foster (Alabama Signee)

That they were like all other package deals. It was fun to talk about and really important until they realized that it wasn't going to happen... Foster is likely down to tOSU and Pitt...
