  1. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Watched it on Periscope as well and you are spot on. Carr dominated on top and was the better wrestler. He wore Mattox out with the head lever. Carr was clearly trying to show that the previous match wasn't his best effort. I was watching that match and Spencer Lee in his final match of his...
  2. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

    NCAA seeds for OSU 125 - unseeded 133 - #1 same side as Clark at #4 and Micic at #5 141 - #12 same side as Ashnault #5 and Heil #1 149 - #4 same side as Retherford #1 Sorenson #5 165 - unseeded 174 - #3 same side as #2 Realbuto 184 - #6 same side as #2 Nickal, #3 Brooks & #7 Dudley 197 - #3...
  3. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

To OSU... there are more than a few mentions on Themat forum as well as on OWN, Bucknuts & Yappi. But there is also a lot of misinformation such as eligibility next season. A few people mentioned that he would have to sit out 1 year coming from D2. Not the same rule as football apparently...
  4. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

I keep reading on other boards that White is planning to transfer but no one has offered any credible proof that it's in the works. White in the OSU lineup this year would have been a huge boost. Someone mentioned a possible grad transfer at 165 next year but no real details.
  5. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

I watch way too much wrestling... but in the interest of honesty I missed big time on Martin's match. Brooks is just a bad match up for him and one I don't see him correcting. He was backing up from the get go because he didn't want to get caught in that two on one wrist ride (Russian tie)...
  6. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Yup despite a few loses this year Carr has limitless potential. He is a must get.
  7. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

I think White is the 2018 165# answer; assuming he can qualify and they have money in the budget for him. Then in 2019 you have White 165, Romero 174, MyMar 184, Moore 197 & Singletary at 285 - though Snyder still has a potential redshirt or Olympic redshirt to burn. I'm still not convinced Jake...
  8. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

I don't see Romero coming down to 165. His walk around weight is close to 185 and he may benefit from a redshirt. The Koontz twins are going to need redshirt years for sure as both are undersized. I think the smart move at 141 would be to have Hayes back in the lineup and allow Pletch to...
  9. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Heck of an effort. Thoughts later. OSU 2017 B1G Wrestling Champs
  10. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Retherford with a dominant performance against Micah... Pletcher lost 6-2
  11. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

So right now we are looking at qualifying 8 for NCAA's with wildcards to be issued. I don't think we get 157 or 165 but I've not looked at all possible outcomes. Burcher was so close but just couldn't get the offense going in that last match. Jake came out looking decent but faded quickly and...
  12. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

I saw this post over on BSD. The guy who authored it hates OSU with a passion. Pletcher has beaten both guys in front of him and had he not been seeded in Ashnault's bracket he would have been in the finals. I like him to get third. I think Jrod can win against Thorton and Burcher can beat...
  13. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Ohio St - 117, PSU - 98.5, Iowa - 95 Hell of a second session by the bucks. Martin's win over Nickal was epic and Micah beating Sorenson was awesome. A lot of clutch performances this evening.
  14. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

    Nice story on NaTo http://www.dispatch.com/news/20170302/front-row-tomasello-happy-healthy-and-hungry-on-ohio-states-wrestling-mat
  15. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

B1G pre-seeds are out. No real surprises. Would have liked to have seen Martin avoid Nickal until the finals but he got a 4 seed and will meet in the semi's http://intermatwrestle.com/articles/17871
  16. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

OSU wrestling related... former OSU 125 pound wrestler Nick Roberts died last evening. He won the DII NCAA title at 133 after transferring from OSU to UPJ. http://www.flowrestling.org/article/52556-former-pa-standout-nick-roberts-passes-away#.WLLeqTsrLuo Thoughts and prayers to Nick's family
  17. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

The plus is that the team has a few weeks to get things rectified. The reality though is that 157 & 165 will be weights that probably do not qualify for NCAA. 125 will probably qualify but I don't think we score any point especially with the 3 day weigh in.
  18. Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Cornell over OSU 19-18 - match came down to 285 but the Bucks had their chances at 125, 165 & 174 but lost all three. The Track Wrestling feed was horrible so I missed about 30% of the matches. Bo didn't look sharp but Realbuto is tough. JRod reverted backward against a kid he majored at CKLV...
