Gonna be an absolute weapon next season, and he can be a floor general if you need him to be... Meechie, Branham are going to make scoring feel like its so much more easy next season
From all accounts we've been putting in work on Reid for a while probably the longest of the schools on this list and with Holtman Pedon and Diebler on the job...have to like our chances right???
Etzler seems like the kind of player who can have a lot of different things in his tool bag...kid can shoot he can post, put it on the floor and is very smooth and effortless in his play but I think the key for him is his motor and making sure he is giving it 100 percent
All I wish for next years successful bball season and every one after that is for all the fair weather fans who root for the team when they are doing well and complain and scream for Holtmann's head on nights like tonight to just crawl in their little cubby holes and stay I'm there and don't...
His game actually looks a lot like Jason Tatum's did before he added ball handling to his repitoire and Tatum is a 6'8 PF/SF, not out of the realm of possibility for EJ. But I hope we get another year from him as well.
I seem to remember 2 other buckeyes in distant memory who had at least one season as buckeyes shooting the 3 ball on fire...and that would be Jamar Butler and Jekel Foster...I think both did it in their Sr seasons just too lazy to look up the numbers each player had but I believe both were mid...
Could have used a little more Ahrens in this game and I also wish Soto would take more shots...it seems like his shot is going to be good most times he puts on up...definitely wish his confidence would go up if it doesn't meechie may come right along and pass him up cause I promise you he ain't...
Imo if EJ had Garza's size it wouldn't be close...love Garza's game too but EJ's footwork touch and mid range shooting are just a notch above on top of that it looks like EJ is starting to get comfortable putting the ball on the floor and the kid has handle and that will open up his passing ability
But you'd have to be an actual fan of the basketball team to know something like that because you have been following and you know where the program is actually unlike some of these fair weather complainers
