No, no, no. TV is the only thing that matters. To use a baseball analogy, football is the catcher's mitt - TV is the hand controlling it. Delany is smart enough to see that those who control the television sets control the sport. This has more to do with the BTN than the teams playing on it...
I just hope these n00bs don't come in to our conference expecting stuff to be handed to them on a silver platter.
Damn, it feels good not to be the new kids on the block anymore. Nebraska's an old-school Big Ten member now, eh chums? Eh?
Hey, now! Leave my buddy alone! This man is so uber-awesome that he can do remote psychoanalysis over the internet. I think he can handle some paltry football analysis.
PS - finally got to see a replay on a decent-sized screen. Totally a TD. That makes the score PSU 30 - NE 27 with just...
From the BWI post up^^^ there... somewhere.
Clearly this little twerp doesn't watch many Husker games. We're not "a decent rep in the BCS." We're four ballsy comebacks short of a crappy season.
This team could be dangerous if they figure several things out (like how to get defensive...
Earholing a player from their blind side is what got Nebraska's Eric Martin suspended for a game back in the Big XII. So Nebraska Fan isn't likely to have too much sympathy for that penalty against Johnny Adams on the INT return.
This is just stupid. You want to talk football and stop trying to psychoanalyze someone you don't know from across the interwebz? Make a point about football or sit down and shut up.
Sparty had two (2) touchdowns gifted to them by BS calls. Take those away and it's 21-10 Nebraska at the...
Again, and this can't be stressed enough, two of Sparty's TDs were aided by the refs. So the calls didn't help Nebrsaka win, they were equally bad for both teams. MSU would only have won if the refs had kept the flag in their pockets against them and thrown them on us, but they didn't. They...
I'm not really sure why you have to belabor the point that calls went in Nebraska's favor, and failing to mention calls that went in Sparty's favor. But you're doing it. Maybe you should examine why you're doing that.
I really don't care what your motivation is. The fact is, they called that penalty (PI) all game long like that. If that was the only call that went that way, you'd have an argument. When that's the call all game, you have nothing.
Err.... not sure you watched the game. Two of Sparty's TDs were ref-aided.
No amount of combined wrongs make a right. But it's not like they were calling it one-sided in Nebraska's favor. Both teams ended with nine penalties.
Unofficially - I think the answer is no. We've had three come-from-behind wins where we were down by double digits this year alone: Wisconsin, Northwestern and now Sparty.
It's a little rough on the ol' blood pressure. I would like to see us figure that out.
You guys bury the Wolverines for us and Nebraska fans will stop sticking needles into our Buckeye voodoo dolls after that trouncing you gave us in C-Bus. Deal?
Tell me about it. In our first two years in the Big Ten we have victories over Ohio State and Michigan.
Oops, let me correct that - we have victories over Ohio State* and Michigan*.
* Note: Team's star player was unable to complete the entire game due to injury.
The...
Thing is, if he got hurt on that play, where he basically fell to the ground from a standing position, bracing on his elbow, you cannot count on him for any kind of durability for the rest of the season.
There was next to no contact on that play. Completely routine, yet he's done for the...
