I think Miami (of Florida) is a classic case of a school that would have a better reputation as a university if it dropped football. Academically, it's pretty solid. But the antics of the fans and the history of corruption surrounding the team make the school look bad.
It does sometimes seem like the NCAA goes harder on lower tier schools to compensate for their slap on the wrist treatment of certain protected programs.
Why not? First round games could start November 1, and we’d have a champion by New Years. I‘d make it 128 to avoid any play in games. Plus it would give Kirk Herbstreit a chance to interview the two teams left out about how it feels to be slighted by the selection committee.
With the addition of Sabin, GameDay should drop at least one of Howard and McAfee, preferably Howard. I understand having one clown on stage to complete the circus, but two is too many. Unfortunately, I think they like having a guy from each of OSU and TCUN, so Howard isn’t going anywhere.
For all his flaws, I gotta give Harbaugh credit for completely fucking over the TCUN football program and fanbase on his way out. Still a piece of shit, but give the Devil his due.
I view Sean Miller is sort of a Calipari type coach. He’ll win, but I’d worry he might get the program in trouble with the NCAA. I also thought he brought in some guys with questionable character at X, but he might not feel the need to do that at OSU. Chris Mack is kind of interesting. I think...
You have a good point. Being good at lying and cheating does seem provide a big advantage these days. I dare say, it may have become an essential skill.
