I’m ok. I’m not happy that Downs will likely be at UGA, but I understand it. I know someone that helped put together the new NIL deal Bama offered downs. It was big, and not likely a reason for his departure.Anyone check on @Gcashwell in the past 24-36 hours?
I think a lot of fans didn’t realize these kids wanted to learn from Saban. Bama wasnt a big deal. Saban was s big deal.Bama fans decrying the corruption and broken nature of college football...what a sight to see.
Spot on. Trying to keep people around who don’t want to be someplace isn’t a good way to build a winning anything.I’m ok. I’m not happy that Downs will likely be at UGA, but I understand it. It won’t be an easy time for coach. He will have to be ready for spring to fill any gaps.
I’m not one of those people that are scared of change, and I feel that if somebody doesn’t want to be somewhere, they should leave. It keeps things simple for me.
I have never been a part of the recruiting process. I wasn't recruited. I've never recruited someone. My kids aren't going to be recruited. So I'll take your word for it. But I would have thought that Bama IS a big deal. I mean, don't they try to sell the high school recruits on Alabama? "We have 100 national championships and 200 players in the NFL" (or whatever the actual numbers are).I think a lot of fans didn’t realize these kids wanted to learn from Saban. Bama wasnt a big deal. Saban was s big deal.
Now that he’s gone, these kids need to find the best opportunity to 1) make money now and 2) learn to play their position in the NFL.
