I would've is informal spoken English and the reason some people think it really means "would of."
Your spell check is noting them in red probably simply because it isn't in its formal dictionary. Just add it and you won't have the issue anymore.
I think it has to do with how many things you and they have "in common" as in interests, movies, the public profile crap you fill in. Or how many mutual connections you might have between the two of you. I am also starting to think that FB allows a kind of "paid recommendation" thing but I can't...
