Oregon battle plan in Rose Bowl
My mentality has always been to test a team's strengths to see if they can consistently perform.
In Ohio State's case we know the Buckeye front four is as dominant as they come, but can they show up for four quarters?
I'd look to test the Buckeyes with heavy...
I stated my reasons upon being asked,
"I disagree b/c the Badger offensive line has only given up 2 sacks ALL season! Plus when we're deciding strengths we're not talking about "potential" or perceived upside...what have they done for us lately!? Thus John Clay has the edge over the OSU RBs...
I'll definitely apologize for these two comments, I felt attacked and I came back with these comments. It was rather immature to resort to some sort of bickering match
I didn't have anything to side step, I never "predicted" anything?? I didn't even voice that I thought Wisconsin would play well. I just stated what I thought were some concerns, whether or not they manifested themselves was completely up to the flow of the game.
I wish people could take...
I did read that description of the run game, which makes it all the more interesting that the RB edge would fall to OSU. Also considering that last sentence is "the match up is basically even." And then the edge states "Ohio State." My post was ultimately misread b/c I just meant to create...
Who I am only shows where my opinion is coming from!! Has nothing to do with me putting anyone down, if you're seeing it like that then I can't do much to change your mind set. I never like to give my opinion without a reason, I gave my reason as it being from a professional opinion and not a...
Here is my question: By me saying Wisconsin's O-line holds the "edge," what's my prediction?? I think the only thing I predicted ALL week was on our show, and I said that Wisconsin would go over 100yds rushing. My previews are meant to do the ground work for fans, not so much to give a "what...
That's where you can't see the trees for the forest. My first post simply stated that I didn't agree with giving the edge to OSU's RBs and O-line. Then that was misconstrued as me putting down the blog writers. I then offered my reasoning, in my "experienced/professional" opinion, meaning...
That's actually a great question!! No Wisconsin didn't play as well as I EXPECTED, but I never claimed on any site or tv that there would be any sort of Badger domination or that they were unbelievable. Not to mention the fact that I predicted an Ohio State VICTORY!
As far as ratings go OSU...
These comments are coming from some weird vindictive place, blogs are meant to create discussion. Now you're just adding words to things, "brilliant?" "unstoppable?" "overpowering?" No one in their right mind gives TP the edge in the QUARTERBACK battle, in fact he can't even be placed in that...
The inexperience comes in because I never once predicted what would happen in the game, so there is no right or wrong. Fans can't see it for what it really is, you guys pick based on passion not actual experience tackling a 250lb RB or going against a solid TE. I can't say it enough, giving...
Once again, not sure what anyone's argument is on here...
Your inexperience is showing...
I was previewing the game and highlighting some of Wisconsin's strengths, and then you're throwing stats out AFTER the game as if everyone knew there would be 6 sacks and 2 picks to the house.
4...
I know I expected Clay to get the rock more than 20 times, but I stated on our pregame that this Buckeye defense is the best in the country. I wasn't expecting Wisconsin to do too much on offense. Once again comparing how Wisconsin's O played to how OSU's O played is apples to oranges...
That says nothing about comparing Clay to OSU's RBs, OSU's RBs didn't have to go up against the best defense in the country like John Clay did. Furthermore no one said that Wisconsin's O-line would dominate OSU's defense. I was comparing O-line to O-line, and I can sure tell you one thing...
you missed the boat on that one, professional/experienced opinion has nothing to do with being right or wrong. I was explaining where my opinion was coming from, it wasn't coming from a malicious intent or an intent to trash anyone's comment.
I retracted my O-line statement, I misread that part...however I still disagree with it being even as well as the RB edge to OSU. So what you're saying is I can't disagree and then offer my professional/experienced opinion on the game? I don't think disagreeing would classify as "trashing" any...
This weekend should be a great benchmark of where this Ohio State team is at, a young group still trying to find out who they are. Should be fun to watch them come of age against a solid Wisconsin team. I'm worried about John Clay getting loose, the guy can flat out play. TE Garrett Graham a...
yes game mgmt, still hasn't proven he can do it consistently when the pressure is on...when things aren't going the offense's way. Make good decisions the WHOLE game and get the ball to your playmakers. You don't have to win the game for us, just don't lose it with poor decisions or no decisions!
