i think lagunasurf hinted at this in a previous post, but guys like Chekwa, Coleman, Schwartz (our "speed" category guys) have the potential of ending up at several positions. Though I doubt it, one of them could potentially end up a wideout. I don't know why I'm discouraged we didn't land...
Although I am a little disappointed we didn't get another WR, this class overall is a very balanced and versatile class. Tress didn't only fill needs in this class but landed kids who want to be Buckeyes. Congrats to the 20 young men who will sign with OSU today and officially WELCOME TO THE...
not a premium subscriber, but I was wondering what the posters on FSU's sites are thinking about McDaniel. HotMic is right, they are pursuing Damon awful hard and need to be as we have Small as our lone WR recruit (grades are a major concern with him). We need Damon as part of this class IMO...
I am like you HotMic, my head is telling me we get Damon but my gut is feeling otherwise. But why would we tell Derrell that, not offer Anthony Bowman, lose Chichester to grades, and cool on Wes Lyons. IMO, the staff thinks we get another WR tommorrow.
i am going to change my opinion and be an optimist on this one. i think Damon pulls a signing day shocker and commits to the best football program in the nation, tOSU of course. I am basing this on:
1. The decision to visit OSU first after the decommit.
2. The info Derrell Johnson was given...
billmac91, great post. Still no new info on Damon. His recruitment has been very tight lipped since the decommit from UF. I guess Larry Grant just verballed to us, so gimme Damon on Signing Day and I will be extremely happy with this class, not that I'm not already!
i think someone has already stated this, but FSU is becoming notorious for their misuse of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Jeff Bowden's playcalling has been sketch at times and Bobby Bowden just paces the sidelines with no headset basically letting the assis
tants coach. That being...
i was thinking FSU all the way up until the recent movement in their recruiting. The two commitments FSU just recieved coupled with the info Derrell Johnson was given, kind of makes you wonder if both staffs know something.
i think Grant ends up a safety, in the mold of a Tom Zbikowski(sp), the safety from Notre Dame Musburger made a point of mentioning to be a former Golden Gloves boxer a hundred times during the Fiesta Bowl.
3 days left, who rounds the class out?
i would like to hear some opinions on who you think rounds the class out.
with us not offering bowman and not pursuing lyons hard I think there will be a suprise WR commit down the stretch.
i agree the I formation will be used extensively as Beanie ran out of the I in high school and is probably better suited for the I form instead of the spread. I think the spread may be used some maybe with Robbie out of the shotgun and Mo Wells in the backfield as he is a better fit out of the...
i would LOVE Damon to be part of this class. With all the WR's UF is taking this year and the depth they already have, I think he is seriously looking elsewhere. Unfortunately all signs point to Free Shoes if he does sign elsewhere. Hopefully Tress and the staff can pull a miracle, but with...
by "taking care of it before NLOID" I meant the academic advisors/guidance counselors at Chichester's school. If there is academic issues, isn't it there job to tell the student of a potential problem and try to work with them to get their academic house in order so they can possibly attend a...
why does it always seem we lose a recruit or two in the last week before signing day to academics. Three years ago it was Dareus Hiley, two years ago Dajuan Morgan and Miles Williams, last year Freddie Lenix, and now Chichester and maybe more. If academics were that much of a problem you think...
