  • Couple points I can pass on that may help you: 1) I presume that where you're at in ID has a rather dry climate. Whereas, Portland has a LOT of rain during the year. And as you head further north, the amount of rain continues to increase. The PNW coast is literally a rain forest. So, when considering the two cities, just determine how much you can handle. It's a large reason why there's such an inundation of coffee shops here. 2) Portland has more micro-brews than any other city in the world. 3) Oregon doesn't have a Sales Tax, Washington doesn't have an Income Tax. 4) Portland has around 2+ million people. Seattle is, I believe, around 6 million. Personally, I really like Portland. I really enjoy Seattle, but the traffic is uber-shitty. To each their own.
I live/work in Salem, OR (about 400 miles from you). My family and I have been out here for a little over 6 1/2 years. Convenience for us is that we're 60 miles from the Pacific, 45 miles from Downtown Portland, and anywhere between 30-75 from various mountains.
From everything I've read/seen/heard about Stoney's potential, I sure as hell hope so too. What a stable of potential weapons we are accumulating. It's unbelievable.
Don't want to get 'Shede's thread too off topic, but thanks for the response. I wasn't sure about Stoney, and I know you seem to follow recruiting closer than I. I was thinking I had heard he was a TE, but I also heard he had WR speed, and wasn't sure where he'd end up.
