With the dust mostly settled, I also think we shouldn't see much of a drop-off on defense. Replacing Reese and Downs isn't happening, but we lessened the blow as much as possible. Excited to see this defense on the field after they gel in camp.

I was thinking the same thing, it is a lot harder to hate them with Vrabes as HC. No way I can root against him, even though it is the Pats...who I hate way less with Brady gone.

Best pickup in the portal so far. Beyond ecstatic to see this pickup, especially if we keep running the slow moving offense...gotta at least get points on long drives inside the 40 yard line if that's the offense we are sticking with. Regardless it's a great get.

I read the name and thought we got a Nascar driver in the portal. In all seriousness, really important grab in the portal after the decision of starters and depth at the position. Should work well for both parties.

Sigh. Not what we needed with Downs no longer in center field. Not even sure what safeties we have at this point? Seems like he would've seen the field a lot or even start at the position. Then again, add him to the list I have said that about that have jumped in the portal...at the very least...

Agreed, Bey reminds me quite a bit of Dontre Wilson coming out of HS. He was a RB/WR hybrid that we never really figured out how to use properly. Hopefully the staff will be inventive in getting him the ball as Miami is with Toney.
