I'm also surprised at how much used stuff is Prime-eligible now. My mother had a big list of books she wanted to find used, and I was able to get all but one of them with Prime for her at about $4 a pop.

I'm pretty sure I have already had my money's worth on my Prime account. Saved a bunch on ink and tech stuff I needed when I got the new computer (YAY). Figure in gas and what I would have spent running around, including meals, for Christmas shopping, and I'm good to go. My sister gets plenty of discounts or gift cards or whatever from using the Amazon credit card, but I'm finding I prefer one card, one bill to juggling rewards.
