Also, remember that $64 K in NY, San Fran, or DC is not equal to $64 K in Ohio... my Grandparents house that just sold in Akron for $95 K would sell for over $400 K here in the DC area, not exaggerating.

My reason for bumping. I am relocating. The cost of living is the same or more at the new location. A job interview I have coming up would be a 14% pay cut and put me at 1.11. Would you consider it? Keep in mind I have been out of school for 4 years.

Went through a career transition in the mid-90s that set me back a few years but my skill levels at golf and pool peaked during that era. :biggrin:

The comparison is a bit out because the cost of living here is 40% less than where I had my first job. Also, my first salary was very low but I took it because it was the right job.
