Your salary then and now...

Per the original post, are there actually people out there that make $64K a year?

I figured 2.5
and 3.

Anyone with a 4-year degree, about 10 years of progressive responsibility, and the right line of work...shouldn't be too difficult in today's economy. Some engineering grads come close to that right out of the gate.

I've seen guys with MBAs working in a convenience store and I've seen guys with a Bachelor's catch an "up draft" and float right to the top of major organizations. The only guarantee is that if you do not meet opportunity with the right mix of people skills, personality, experience, and education, you ain't going anywhere.

And there are preferences. I have a good friend at Delta Air Lines who's worth an easy $20k more than she's making, but she likes the flight benefits.

The wealthiest person I've ever been friends with lives in a $900k home. When I met him, all he could read was blueprints. Now he can read at about the junior high level. He got his the hard way...earned in sweat every thing he owns, and rode the construction boom to the top in Auburn, Alabama.

This is way too much work.

I'm in public service, so we all know that I'm poor.

What about the cash you get from selling the drugs you take off the bodies of the unarmed people you shoot?
