In my best season of little league, I hit .750 as starting 2nd baseman/relief pitcher. I played in every game for all or most of the game, and went 3 for 4, with only one of those hits leaving the infield. How did I manage to get all that playing time and only go 3 for 4? Well, I was so short, I walked in all of the rest of my plate appearances that season! Needless to say, my OBP was just a shade under 1.000.
Despite my somewhat decent "accomplishments" in little league baseball, soccer was my best sport growing up.
