Gonzo was bench insurance, particularly for the infield after Uribe was DFA. With Ramirez now the regular 3B he could not also back up SS and 2B. Martinez is, arguably, a better backup utility guy than Gonzo. With few off days from now thru early Sept it will be pretty important to give guys a break.

It would be fitting for Frazier to become a great player for the NYY and the Indians never being able to properly lose Miller. Back to 2 games this is going to be a seesaw cluster fuck down the stretch. Starting pitching needs to unfuck itself real quick

As much as I love to bash on Shaw and the chicken coup, can't really blame them right now when the starters are gas canning and can't even make it 5 innings. Its puzzling as hell how the staff is just falling apart right now, they arent just struggling they are full blown getting demolished.
