YOUR 2016 Cleveland Indians Thread (American League CHAMPS!)

One thing I will say about celebrity Cubs fans is that they're all lifelong fans and natives. Although that doesn't excuse Cusack. Ask people in Chicago. He's a pure, pompous, unreconstructed asshole.

I'm sure their fandom is legit but we're getting the Tebow effect from the media.

They are so firmly gripping the cock and impaling their tonsils it's hard to not dislike the subject regardless of anything the subject has done.

Perhaps, but any Cleveland fan who went into this thinking that the national story was going to be about them was just setting themselves up for frustration. That's the irony. Any other NL team, and Cleveland would be the feel good, sentimental favorite story. Cleveland got the national media knob slobbing for the NBA finals; just wasn't meant to be for the WS.

That and the Tribe has at least been to a couple of WS in relatively recent history.

I must have missed all the Cavs knob slobbing during the Finals over the sound of everyone riding Golden State's bologna pony.

GS was talked up as a potentially greatest team ever, but if you missed all the talk and stories about Cleveland's title drought, LeBron coming home and making them out to be the sentimental underdog, then you were just seeking out the aggrieved victim role.

Cub fan mad bro?

No If you've paid any attention to my posts, you know that I don't live and die with my sports teams Not Ohio State and not the Cubs. I came by here to congratulate you guys after game one and stayed away after game two. Hardly flaming smack in this thread

Just pointing out the ridiculousness of attempting to pretend that Cleveland didn't get massive amounts of media love during the NBA finals. "Cleveland Against The World" is a trite t-shirt slogan Nothing more. Buy the shirt and enjoy the ride, just don't try and pretend (original poster that I was responding to) that the world really is out to get you. That's bwi level nonsense.

 if there's any smack it's us talking about our own team. Cubs dominated game 2 from start to finish, no problem with that. I expect tonight to be another pitchers duel. I think the pressure in on Chicago because they can't go down 3-1 to a team with this bullpen. But they have the bats to do it if they stop swinging at hooks in the dirt

IMO, tonight is make-or-break for the Cubs, and I'm not confident. Rizz0-fer and Bryan are 2 for 21, and unless they produce some runs, it might be a long night. I'm still confident in a game 7 with a fresh Hendricks (that was probably a B- outing for him last night) against Kluber going on 3 days rest for the second time. Just don't see the series getting to 7 if Cleveland wins tonight

If Cleveland does win in 7 and Kluber gets three wins, you'd better give him his statue right away
