Yet another teacher-student story

Yeah, I mean the idea of sex with a teacher never entered my mind. I had never heard of it.

But my French teacher, Mrs. W, showed me that this problem has been around for a long time. I took French in 81-82. Mrs. W was a big aberration back in the day. Something changed. For sure we can say that more female teachers don't feel as restricted sexually as they used to be, and students are more cued in than I was.

Read an article in Esquire a few years back where this investigative journalist tried to look into the backgrounds of female teachers that end up having sex with their students. He argued that the most common thread was that high school was the best time of their lives. They were in the elite cliques, had power, ran the school, etc. One of the things they controlled was relationships. If they didn't like this boy dating that girl, they would work to break them up - often by seducing the boy and making sure the girlfriend knew about it - and so sex became a manipulative tool habit. When they went to college, they didn't do as well. They couldn't control things or manipulate like they did in HS. Since HS was their favorite time, they choose education as a major, and 4 years later they are back in HS, but they revert back to their 17 year old mentality and forget that they are authority figures with serious responsibilities. This is how that guy says this happens.

Another interesting thing that gets spawned off of that is the hypocrisy that comes out in terms of how we react to this if the teacher is female and the victim is male vs. if the teacher is male and the victim is female. Lots of dads, and certainly other male friends and relatives, will pat a 15 year old boy on the back and congratulate him for making it with a hot teacher. But if it's a 15 year old girl having sex with a 35 year old male teacher, he had better go into hiding or dad + others will kill him. I'd like to say that I have none of this hypocrisy in me, but I had a son and a daughter. If this happened to the son, I wouldn't have congratulated him, but I would probably have handled it with some long talks about how much trouble this could cause him. If it happened to my daughter, I would probably be thinking about doing serious bodily harm to the teacher.

We humans are curious beings.

Ten? Nine? Five-and-a-half? Little confused here about where the cut-off line starts.

I seem to remember reading some statement years ago from NAMBLA about the "right" of children to have sexual experience.

And maybe the discussion I see here is a reflection of the same subject matter we address in the threads for PedState, and Baylor, and FSU...and maybe why the stories in those threads exist at all (and probably nothing anyone really wants to delve into). i.e. What sexuality actually is, and what is means to abuse another person through it.

If your son is 11 and you knowingly allowed him to be solicited for sex by an adult, you should go to fucking jail. There's a reason why they have age-of-consent laws. I know of no state whose age of consent is anywhere near 11. A person that's 11 years old is a child...while there may be the rare boy or girl who may just start entering puberty at that age, virtually all 11-year-olds are prepubescent, both physically and mentally. No adult has any fucking business soliciting them for anything of a sexual nature.

You are absolutely 100% right about the hypocrisy, and that hypocrisy is being shown full force in this very thread. But, at least a 15-year-old--male or female--is very likely to be biologically an adult (albeit a young adult), and despite being a bit under the AOC in his/her state, it's not near as disturbing as someone hitting on a child who hasn't even entered puberty.

Apparently states agree that sexual relations with an 11-year-old being fucking heinous...

Ages of consent in the United States

From 2005 onwards states have started to enact Jessica's Law statutes, which provide for lengthy penalties (often a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in prison and lifetime electronic monitoring) for the most aggravated forms of child sexual abuse (usually of a child under age 12).

edit: okay. you got me. in fact, i'm going to report my own post. next time, i'll go with the 18-year-old macallan. she has a full body and smells like jasmine.

edit #2: so to be as obvious as possible for my intended audience, my future liquor-related puns will only include busch light and franzia. then again, busch light could be taken a couple ways. i'm in a bit of a pickle here...
