All you have to do is look at which school consistently has the most players in the Army AA game. A few years ago didn't ND have something like 12 or 14 guys playing in it? This past year they had 4 or 5 guys that didn't belong there from a talent or rankings standpoint.

There's been far too much smoke around the Lemming/ND issue for their not to be some true flames. This time, good ol' Tom can't say that the recruit was just out to get attention. Rolle gets plenty of attention, and if he wanted more, he wouldn't have committed so early.

With a few notable exceptions, today's national-title-caliber talent grows up watching specific conferences (the SEC, then Big Ten, etc.), not the NBC game of the week... Some -- like Clausen, Floyd and Tate -- are bona fide blue-chippers. Others become Tom Lemming All-Americans simply because the Irish recruit them.

Stewart Mandel gets it. NoD job is a death trap.
