Keep up the good work kenlin! Did you do it the old-fashioned way (eat in moderation and exercise more) or did you utilize one of the many "diets" out there?

Over the past 18 months I've dropped about 30 pounds to get back to my pre-wedding weight, which is in the "normal" range. Mrs. Buckiprof said that she wanted a lean, mean, sex machine........1 out of 3 ain't bad :)

I did it the old fashioned way. I go to the gym 3 days a week before work, and I eat less. I hardly ever go out to eat, and never do fast food. Watching 'Super-size me' made skipping fast food very, very easy.

Good job! Losing weight really isn't hard; it's just a matter of changing one's priorities and making those priorities permanent. I was fat(ter) a while back and it was amazing how things changed once I started eating better and working out.

Absolutely. People look for quick fixes, pills, etc. Eat less, exercise more is the easy answer but for some reason people don't want to hear it.

Great Job, Kenlin! That is definitely an accomplishment to be proud of. Contrary to what some other posters have said, I think weight loss is one of the most difficult things to achieve... Again, CONGRATS on a job well done... keep up the great work!

But food is so good. I don't have a problem working out more, but I don't think I could cut back my eating very much again. Before I got together with my fiance I had taken off 50 lbs, but now I have put it all back plus some. Damn bitch makes me eat out too much.
I'm hoping that someday they'll come out with a pill that gives everyone the super fast metabolism of the people who can eat anything and be skinny as hell.

Keep up the good work! Making exercise a part of your daily routine is huge in the grand scheme of things and makes it harder to stop. Pretty soon if you can't make it to the gym for whatever reason it will feel weird!

I don't know about that BMI thing.

Says for my height I should weigh 190lbs to be "normal"

I haven't been 190 since High School, if I weighed that now I'd be rail thin
The problem with BMI is that it ignores those pesky muscles that some people have.

I will never weigh less than 225 again in my life. Period. But according to BMI I should weigh something like 170. 170 is great for someone who never played football or worked out.
