My E3 review (as a whole I was disappointed):
For gamers: 1st: Sony 1 1/2(place) microsoft 3rd Nintendo
Microsoft gets bonus points for having an untouchable Fall lineup; Sony gets bonus points for giving us a few extra suprises, trailors that weren't all 2 weeks old and, most importantly a pricedrop (even if it was known ahead of time) If i had to pick i'd give Sony the title due to a suprising no price drop for 360.
Nintendo didn't do anyhting to sell me although come november i'll be interested in Brawl and Galaxies for sure; after that kart will be good.
For the press: 1st Nintendo 2nd Sony 3rd Microsoft
Nintendo bored use hardcore fans for the most part; but the truth is they don't really need us, at least not this generation. WiiFit alone wins the press. 2nd place will be Sony for the Price Drop and because KZ2 didn't suck. 3rd. MS, showed us games that magazines had basically already covered, didn't talk about anything to improve quility of the 360's and didn't drop the price.
Microsoft IMO should have used this to focus on the big guns, even if they were far away. X07 is closer to the christmas season, so it should have been the time to advertise the hell out of the current lineup.
Low score wins overall show:
Sony 1st and 2nd = 1.5
Nintendo 1st and 3rd = 2
Microsoft 1.5 and 3rd = 2.25
With that said, Microsoft had the least need to impress me, but I've stated numorous times i'm getting my next system in August, if the 360 hasn't dropped in price by then, i'll go PS3; but i'm still confident that they will announce a pricedrop and so long as I can get the elite for 399, it is my system of choice.
