No one gets to the end and says "I wish I hadn't done that". You regret the shit you didn't do. Go for it, while you can. You never know when you'll get drunk at a bar and knock some chick up.

That's what Buckyle would do.

Nope. No family intentions. Just want to find an island somewhere with a hammock between two palm trees and maybe write a book and have some little umbrella drinks!

I'm sure I'll figure it out but its nice to get some other perspectives from people who are similarly minded about some things.

As a fellow bachelor (I tried the marriage thing - twice) I went through some similar thought processes a few years back. I was 35 and making about 50k when I sat for the GMAT and did very well on it. I looked at the opportunities out there and was THIS close to quitting my job and going to Cornell for my Master's. Having been unemployed through job eliminations twice in the 90s - and finding it harder to get a new job than I thought it would be each time - I couldn't pull the trigger. I kept my job and let go of the thoughts of grad school.

I'm now 45 and making considerably more money than I did when I was 35 as my position has been good to me over the years. I sometimes regret not having taken the leap and taking my shot at the Ivy League but given what happened in my personal life during the time I would've been in grad school it is probably just as well. My parents both developed terminal illnesses in what would've been year two at school and both died in less than a year. That was rough, and I don't know if I would've been able to complete school during that time. I was needed back home.

Good luck. :)

I certainly appreciate the different perspectives.

This is not just a sports thing, by far. I have every channel I can possibly get on a satellite and rarely watch the thing, unless the Bucks are on of course.

The thing bothering me is that when I look at my Diploma it doesnt say The Ohio State University on it.

Guess I'm going to start applying and see what happens.
