Wrestling Chat (WWF, WWE, WCW, etc.)

Everyone: no one wants to see part-time Brock Lesnar anymore, and if you keep using him people might just start watching AEW

Vince: then let’s have him win MITB without even wrestling. That will drive up ratings.

Went to the AEW show in Vegas tonight. One of the best wrestling shows I’ve seen in quite awhile (at least from a live perspective) crowd was crazy. Hopefully they can keep building up and provide a continuous alternative to WWE.

Wanted to order ppv, but 50 bucks was kinda crazy. I'm an old WCW/NWA fan, so I'm beyond excited to see an alternative to WWE.

wasnt going to spend it either but my brother in law offered to split the cost. glad he did. awesome show and Moxley/Ambrose showing up at the end was the capper. so done with WWE.
Was wondering if he would show. The thing they have to work against the most is that WWE PPVs are only 10 bucks a month now. They’re going to have to be more cost-effective to have people like me buy in. The TNT show will be critical, they need to launch that ASAP

agreed to some extent. AEW wont do a monthly PPV so the cost wont be as big a hit. plus with them being on Saturday nights its easier to get people to hang iut and chip in (for me). plus I killed my wwe network subscription so i freed up a little more money. im all in on AEW

I’m open to it, that’s for sure. If the product is consistently good, then I’m happy to give it a look and leave WWLesnar

Does AEW have a show on tv? Something like Raw? I tune in to WWE every now and then and last no more than 15-20 minutes. It is terrible these days.

They have a deal in place for a show on TNT, but they haven’t announced when it will start. TBH I will need a show and some characters before I’m ready to fork money for PPVs

I missed it. What was so bad?
Cliff Notes version? They played bait and switch by not having Lesnar say who he was going to cash in on (as was advertised) because he didn’t know the rules of MITB. Yes, that was with Heyman, who one might have thought would have explained the rules to him. But nah. Then, the 2 major matches were a craptacular fatal 4 way for a universal title match at next weeks throw away Saudi show that was won by possibly the least over guy on the roster (Corbin) and the main event was Sami Zayn sitting in an electric chair (yes, it was supposed to be an electric chair) and giving rambling awkward answers to dipshittian questions from audience plants, followed by an underwhelming impromptu match with Seth Rollins set up by Zayn saying he could be champion if he wants (apparently Seth’s skin is thinner than the average Michigan fan) where Seth almost blew out his knee on a needless suicide dive. Oh, and Shane Mahon put himself over on Romans cousin no one has ever heard of and the Iconics, who won at WM and sent Sasha Banks packing, lost clean in a non title match to a team that doesn’t even exist (Lynch and Cross).
