It's not like Lesnar is a young guy still coming up...he's 38 and is already a part-timer. there's no luster to lose....
Yeah, this is where Lesnar could have been an "attraction" forever in the territory era, but in the weekly TV era, it just doesn't fit. Andre the Giant was the same way, they would be misusing him like the Big Show if he were around today. They can't put the belt on him, because he only works a few dates, but without it, the attraction thing isn't really an attraction anymore. Look at the lukewarm response the Rock has gotten when he was back wrestling as a part-timer. At this point, Lesnar makes too much money and works too few dates for them to really maximize him.

Braun vs. Brock - two slower plodders, that didn't work with Big Show vs. Brock so why would it work now? Just because there is new shine to Braun doesn't mean that match isn't most likely to be a large disappointment.

Brocks best matches are with a more balanced wrestler, like Rollins. I think Cesaro could be a guy that would pull a great match out of him, even Ambrose would get one. But guys like Braun or slower plodders like Roman....meh.

No way Braun is as good as Show. Besides, if the point is to have Lesnar help you build stars, don't build stars that are super huge and immobile. Go with guys like Owens or Cesaro who can wrestle a variety of guys.

I'd agree but Vince doesn't; the final 4 for the Rumble might as well be Braun, Roman, Big Show, and Brock. Maybe the Great Khali returns and takes Roman's spot.

They painted themselves into a corner with the "Lesnar is an unstoppable beast" gimmick so it's unlikely that they are going to pair him with Cesaro or Owens....

Much improved from last year.

Owens vs. Ambrose was a real good match, great final spot.

An actually well thought out Rumble...bringing in AJ at #3 to get the fans into it and not chanting for Bryan and Punk the whole time. Having Owens be the one to toss him to get more heat (for once, heat for a heel....wow!), Sami tossing Owens so they can build a feud toward Mania.

At least the ending will push Reigns vs. HHH to a fitting finale at WM

Only things I didn't like - Breeze got a huge pop and then Vince continued to bury him, and using Lesnar to feud with the Wyatts....it's a waste. If this is how they planned on using him they should have never wasted the money resigning him. As much a fan as I am of his, I think the product is better off without him and then let Heyman go with a guy he can actually get used with (not sure who that is right now but...)

Overall though, one of the better PPV's in some time.

People will hate, I mean HATE, HHH winning, but it's clearly only a storyline to put Roman over at WM. Of course, people will hate that too. It was a well-planned rumble match for the most part. I can't buy Strowman, he has no moves, no ability, no nothing, he is Giant Gonzales 2.0 at this point. It looks like Lesnar/Wyatt at WM. That would be OK, but there is zero chance of Bray going over clean. Either Lesnar uses him as a chew toy, or it will take all 4 Wyatts to beat him, which doesn't help Bray any. The rest of the card was pretty good, though something about 60 year old Aric Flair forcing a kiss onto a 20-something diva made me...I don't know, ick. Charlotte needs to stand on her own.

So WM looks like so far:
Reigns/HHH for the title
KO/Zayn
Lesnar/Wyatt
Likely ADR/Kalisto
Some crazy tag match involving ND and Usos

So...who's left for Taker?

Styles/Ambrose for the IC title would be interesting....

Would one have to be a heel for that to happen?

That would be a good match, and they have done face matches before (heel matches usually don't work). I don't think they can turn Dean because they don't have enough usable faces right now...Ziggler is on the downslope and the rest are injured. If there are some call ups or when Vena and Orton get back...maybe. I wouldn't be shocked if they did a double turn when Rollins gets back either

They have two months to build up the story line...which I doubt they'll use properly, but this is the only way I see them going for Taker given what is posted up above...
