WR Torrance Gibson (Green Bay Blizzard)

To be sure we have all the skills, we should go for 25 QB's and between them, we are guaranteed to have the perfect one...LOL
Yes, because 2 qb's is remotely close to 25. You need to step up your straw man game. That's weak sauce you're bringing.

I'd also like to see our staff stop recruiting so many darn offensive lineman. Don't they know we only play 5?!?!?! Idiots.

You need to have more logic in your arguments. Saying that because we are going after QB's, even if coaches might not be convinced of this kid's passing abilities, it is OK to bring him in because he is a great athlete. Are you going to apply the same logic to the second QB? If so, then you are bring in a bunch of athletes to do a QB job. If no, and you then plan to bring in a better passer and in Urban's system a good athlete, then you are really bringing in this kid as an athlete, and you really did not recruit two QB's. If the second QB does not work out, then you are back to an athlete doing the job of a QB. I know you are saying that because you are getting two, you can take more risk with someone that can be good in another position. I am saying focus on the job at hand first. You can also argue the same for OL. Don't recruit an OL unless you are convinced he can be an OL first. Don't go out and and get 8 OLs to fill a need for 5 hoping that eventually you will sqeeze 5 good ones out of them because you probably won't if you did not convince yourself they can be good OL, each one.

Urban Meyer has locked in on Florida QB Torrance Gibson, wants the dual-threat prospect at Ohio State: Buckeyes recruiting

http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2014/01/urban_meyer_has_locked_in_on_f.html

“I can honestly tell you that he has improved drastically now that he understands why he is doing what he is doing,” Rumph said. “Now Torrance is that guy. I have seen a lot of talent. I played in the NFL and I know what it takes. I have always challenged him from Day 1 to show me that you can sit in the pocket and go through your progressions and make correct decisions. He did all those things this year, and it’s crazy to think he still has another year with us.”

his coach is Mike Rumph formerly of the 49ers...as a 49er fan this guys obviously was no ahmed plummer...49ers has some really bad teams before singletary/harbaugh...but its nice to see former NFL players coaching high school....im sure they are all over the country...just not here in Maine.
it would be nice to get gibson, but as everyone is saying, are we taking two qb's? who is the top choice...will minkha fitz play a role in our selection of qb's...these are the many conundrums that coaches must deal with.

Didn't realize this until I saw his film for the first time tonight, but he's a lefty. That'll be something opposing defenses will have to practice to prepare for him at the next level.

Has a body type similar to Pryor (looks lean, but he's solid), runs like an interesting hybrid of Pryor & Ginn, and throws accurately. Thinking of the things Urban & Herman could run with Gibson makes you smile. One you want committing early to your program and helps recruit the dickens out of the best players in the country.
