WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Once he realizes that he can't really do both, I think PSU becomes the likely choice.
Why can't he do both for the first year, then choose one (if doing both is too difficult)?
He stays in-state and plays for a good program (albeit not on OSU's level) where his dad can come watch him every week.
If his dad lives in Jeannette, then it's 2.5 hours (PSU) vs 3.5 hours (OSU). I don't really see the difference... both are medium length trips. Pitt vs OSU is a different story.
JMO, but with Larry the racist heading his recruitment, I don't hold out much hope here...
Not everyone buys what he is selling...

Only the guys who are considering tOSU.

I guess I've just been traumatized by PSU's dominance over OSU in head-to-head recruiting battles, and I have absolutely no confidence we can beat them for a Pennsylvania recruit.

I'd love to land Pryor, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up...

Between Pryor, Hale, Sweat, and Wilson, I believe OSU may beat PSU on more than one.

This kid is a pure winner. This level of winning is the kind of thing that transcends straight into the college game. You learn to win this much (in two sports albeit) at any level and the attitude follows you. His presence on the bball court is obviously just as commanding and imposing as it is on the football field. What I would do to get this kid in S&G.

On a football note: Anyone else think it's a great sign for our chances w/Pryor that we have yet to offer any other quarterback in the entire nation?

The thing that impresses me most about his stats from the past three games is the assists. Numerous high school standouts can score a ton of points and grab a bunch of rebounds simply because of their superior athletic ability. Assists prove he has a great understanding and natural feel for the game. All those assists also make him the much more intriguing as a QB. It shows he has a great ability to see the court/field and anticipate opportunities.

Im sorry but there is absolutely no rational reason why he cant do both. Ricky Dudley only quit basketball (senior year) when it was apparent that the NFL was his only option for playing sports professionally. Dudley was never a 5* basketball player. Proyer is. Guy down at FSU was there starting point guard and quarterback.... as I recall he won a heisman but played in the NBA So I do not for one second buy this he cant play both stuff.

Unless you have played a D1 sport it is hard to understand how deamnding it is. Name someone other than Charlie Ward who had success in both...the only other name that comes readily to mind in recent memory is Ronald Curry and he was an average college QB and an average college PG. If it was so easy to do both, Greg Paulus would be doing both at Duke right now. Pryor is the kind of talent who can make it to the pros in either sport, but will likely need to focus on one or the other to maximize his talents. Keep in mind that strength and conditioning programs are very sport-specific these days and the type of workout regimen Pryor would be under would be completely different for basketball than it would b for football.
