Right, but you have 5 years to use up your 4 years of eligibility. He could sit out a year and still have two playing years left with another school. Note: He didn't use up a "red shirt year" at Ohio State.sammyjenkis;1641279; said:You know the NCAA only allows four years of eligibility these days, right?
I disagree. Lamaar is too small for RB, he has had difficulty learning the WR position, and he has shown nothing special as a KR. It would be a real risk for a BCS team to go after a kid who has so little on his resume'.jazzman;1641205; said:Good for Lamaar....would be a good pick up for either team, i.e., Va Tech. or UNC. I can see him being a difference maker in the ACC.
southcampus;1641333; said:I disagree that Lamaar is a "Percy Harvin Extra light." Even during the spring game, watching him get an end around only having to make one guy miss, he just fails to do it. He has shown me nothing to suggest he could be compared to the NFL rookie of the year. I know that I am a pretty big advocator for speed, whether it's track speed or football speed, but Lamaar really just looks like a track star in pads. His lateral movements seemed as if he wasn't comfortable carrying the rock.
I've got no idea what went on behind the scenes here but it strikes me as odd. Work ethic? Distractions? Who knows. It just looks like there was little to no development while he was here.
