WR Quincy Porter (Official Thread)

I don't think he's been talked about enough. This kid is BUILT! My wife and a few people around asked when JJ switched numbers, lol. And that question was answered when JJ came out looking like Megatron 2.0, but this kid isn't far behind on being one of the most physically imposing players on the roster :yow1:

Graham and Porter both played double-digit snaps for the third time this season – and their second-highest snap count of the year – as the Buckeyes mixed each of their top two backup receivers in with the first-team offense more than they had in previous games this year. Porter caught two passes for 30 yards while Graham had one reception for 10 yards.

  • On freshman wide receiver Quincy Porter: "It was good to see him, that was really his first big action ... I don't think he flinched. ... That's exciting. And I think Carnell (Tate) and Jeremiah (Smith) need that. We need that depth."

Brody was writing what I was thinking. Very nice to see Graham and Porter in real duties. Both performed admirably. Of course, we couch QBs wonder why they aren't getting more reps, given what we see, but got to remember that the players in front of them have done it before, and are quite simply, good at it. But glad Brian's giving them some real-time exposure, so next year and year after, when current WR talent is in the NFL, they can walk in, with either Julian or Tavian in there, and keep the chain alive. Hopefully they'll see more significant action later on in the season.
