Gonzalez, yes; Hartline, no. That's my opinion though.
At the end of the day Thomas is a damn good WR, but like @RB07OSU and @bukIpower said, we have other WRs that can and should be able to stretch the field. Thomas is the reliable WR that will make difficult catches and get first downs and out leap DBs.

Thomas reminds me of Philly Brown reliable pass catcher in the short intermediate routs that can get you those 3rd and 6 or 3rd and 8

Thomas is going to be a stud next year but I don't see him as the replacement of Devin Smith. That will be guys like Clark, Wilson, McLaurin, Smith, etc. But let's be honest...Devin Smith turned out to be a very special player as is evident but the way he finished his career and has worked his way into the discussion about 1st round draft picks. Expecting someone to replace Devin might be wishful thinking.

I really like the tandem of Thomas and Smith next year. Adding Marshall and Wilson to that and there are some explosive targets. And I am very excited to see what a healthy Dixon and Clark can do.

Bottom line is that although Thomas is not the deep threat that Smith was, and may not be "the" deep threat this season, Thomas is no slouch at getting open 20+ yards down field. Keep in mind that Smith just had one of the best seasons ever in terms of yards per catch (28.21 ypc). In fact, his 28.21 ypc average is over four yards per catch better than the #2 receiver (Phillip Dorsett, Duh U) and almost six yards per catch better than the #3 receiver (Chris Moore, Cincinnati, who was the WR that burned us for 221 yards and 3 TDs on just three catches...73.67 ypc).

I've seen plenty, you obviously haven't seen his NFL highlights. Heck Chad Johnson was more of a deep threat then him when he was a dolphin. But anyway, think what you want and continue to argue, but to stay on topic, Thomas will e a great WR in our offense next year, but he won't be blowing by anyone on fly patterns or deep outs. Will he make some blown coverages pay? Yes. That's not a deep threat, but if you need to tell yourself that than he's a " Mili deep threat". But like has already been stated by others, including myself, the true deep threats next year will be guys like Dixon, Clark, Marshall, Campbell, etc. And Thomas will more than likely lead the team in receptions and be the most reliable target for whomever is the QB
